Confession 5/10/19: Laura Matheson

She said to me
He loved you so much

I cried into her hair
I honestly don't know why

And I don't know why
I need a why

and why I still
think perhaps she gave me a lie
as a mercy

(I wish I could trust
her truth)

because

I don't know
who convinced me
that I was undeserving

but I will miss
the man who
loved me simply
for existing
